Staff is great, friendly , caring and Communication from the school has been getting better but it should remain consistently good. If there are school activities then advance notice of these activities of at least a week or more would be appreciated. A monthly calendar emailed to the parents showing weekly school activities would be very helpful as well. Thanks!
The food menu is really poor. Fattening breakfasts with no fruit. Most days there is only one vegetable/ fruit served and it's often sweet apple sauce. Very cheap lunches including sunbutter and jelly (!!). What kind of lunch is it? I would pay a bit more to have my child eat healthier. Snacks are usually pretty bad too: gold fish or crackers. It teaches children really bad eating habits.
Additionally, even though there is a playground, children spend most of the day inside. They are only sent out for 30 minutes at a time. Why have empty playground? They can be there all afternoon with no extra cost on your part, just like at Bright Horizons.
Both food menu and time outside need to be improved in order for me to fully recommend this daycare.
My last comment will be that potty training seems to be left out to teachers to decide if they will help you or not. Miss Lynn did not want to help and put my daughter back in pullups while Miss Casandra did it in a week. It should be a standard to work with the parents rather than teacher's willingness.
On the other hand, I love all the art actvities and having cameras. My daugher learned a lot and I love Miss Casandra, Miss Zusli and Miss Allison.
However, we had very bad experience in toddler room with a very unfriendly teacher who later got fired. Hopefully you won't have such teachers anymore.
The cleanliness, the personal care from the teachers, all the school activities in the classroom and outside after hours such as parents night out as well as open houses. The highlight was definitely cameras in the room and the app where I get updates.
Be able to maintain staff consistency in personnel and knowledge of processes & procedures, which can be very tough. Most important to email out class schedules, especially during camps, especially with split custody situations, sometimes the posted calendars are missed or you have very little time to react. Emailing out the schedules and in particular special individual for key dates (trips, what is needed, etc.). Actual invites would be even better so they show in calendars that we all rely on these days. Overall I feel this center is run well and have many very good staff.
Love the staff- love the personal touch -my child has had a very good experience there however I still feel that the older kid area at the end of day is understaffed. It's always wild and crazy in there and there are some large aggressive kids in there.
