All of the teachers are fantastic, and the curriculum, whether in school or out of school, keeps the kids engaged and thinking instead of just going to "day care". Highly recommend. Staff also does a fantastic job with handling kids that aren't your average kid, but may need a little extra support.
The place is run by kind and professional people. They hire their staff carefully, and there is a strong sense of community. They make accommodations for parents' wishes, and all in all, my son has been extremely happy here.
We love summer camp - my child is sad that she will have to miss a week at Kiddie Academy this summer to go to another scheduled camp. Each themed week makes the summer fly by - the educational activities keep her sharp and ensures she isn't bored.
I feel REALLY great when I drop off my little one every day because I know each and every person that works at the Kiddie Academy of Powell loves and cares for her just as we do when she is home. They know all about her, her family, her strengths & weaknesses, her loves and dislikes, best friends, etc. It gives me a HUGE sense of peace knowing that the people that watch my sweet girl more than I do every week love her and care so much about her as a person and care so much about her growth.
I know they will do the same for my second tiny tot that will be joining the academy in the Fall of 2017. My family and I feel VERY lucky that we found such an amazing place when we moved to Powell in 2015 and we will definitely continue to recommend it to anyone and everyone in search of a great & reliable daycare.
The Daily Reports are what I look forward to receiving every day. The reports give an overview of what my son did that day and several pictures. They also have cameras so you can watch your little one. They are always doing something new and fun with him and I'm happy he gets that experience. All of he teachers he's had just love him and seem to enjoy their jobs.
They also have parent activities for holidays where you can meet other parents. I would highly recommend - Sarah and Kay are the owners. Love them!
Kiddie academy is an exceptional place. My little one went from an in-home daycare, where she got all kinds of personal attention, to a popular childcare company(who I won't name). She was having accidents, would be filthy, the place reeked of urine, and the teachers had no idea what she had done all day when I asked. I was beyond frustrated until I found Kiddie Academy. She stopped having accidents as soon as she started there. I get a personalized message about her day as soon as we walk out the door and I can watch her at anytime of day on a live feed. They take the curriculum for pre-k very seriously and they work extra hard with your vigils to make sure that they won't struggle. They have special events regularly that the kids enjoy, like yoga, soccer, parent's night out, etc. The staff is courteous and understanding, and their childcare is fairly priced. My child and I both are so happy here and would recommend it to anyone who was looking in the area.
I like that my son has consistency in his day and that although learning is made fun for him there is still a goal and focus. I like that his main teacher (I'm not sure who all of his teachers are right now) is pretty patient and seems to understand how to manage all of the children in the class even when things get hectic (and some days they really do).
I like that they focus on education from an early age, and have a strong emphasis on teaching the children manners, even for the kids under two. People are amazed at my toddlers manners, and I owe a lot of that to kiddie Academy
