I like that my son gets a wide variety of skills and opportunities in multiple sports. It is important to us that he gets these experiences starting at a young age. The youth sports staff has been amazing the past year that we have been participating.

Usually skills and drill at Lakewood is a disappointment and I usually use as a filler(if no other program is available for that day) for my kid. However this Skills and drill is well organized and actually have some fundamentals. Hopefully it continues and not regress back to kids just tossing ball up in the air and scrimmaging with no coaching.

Clean and well maintained facilities. Really enjoy the pool more than anything else. Lifeguards are fully attentive Staff is friendly.

The environment is very positive and enjoyable, and the staff is so friendly. They always endeavor to greet you with a smile. Also, the people attending the "Y" reflect this enthusiasm, so working-out is pleasant. It is easy to make new friends at the Lakewood Family YMCA.
