The massage was ok. She started off with some sort of vibrator over my body for relaxation I suppose, but she never warned me it was going to happen (I’m face down here) so that was startling and odd. She seemed rushed and heard her yawn during it. But it was relaxing nonetheless. At the very end of the massage her final statement to me was, “you need to get more massages so you can learn how to relax.” Her statement honestly left me confused and the irony wasn’t lost on me.
Another placed I looked into was into a lot of new age/occult stuff. Yuck! Why can't you just get a massage without being inundated with that kind of stuff? La Vida is WAY better bc it doesn't have any of that junk.
KATE!! She is the BEST!! massage therapist in our area (at least in my opinion). Very knowledgeable, very patient and kind. I absolutely love her. If l could afford it......l would have a massage with her on a weekly basis. This salon is always clean and neat. The receptionist is generally very polite. I have been going to this particular location for approx 5 years and have never had an issue. I highly recommend LaVida for massage services.
Well the room wasn’t very cozy. Exposed boards and pipes… If im paying $100 of my hard earned money, the entire experience should be top-shelf… including the atmosphere.
Also the music was terrible. I’ve done dozens of massages and the music sets the mood for relaxation. The music playing had songs that were too upbeat and including one song that was an upbeat jazz song with horns… when I asked the therapist if she could skip the song she said “nope”. I mean…it’s 2024… who can’t skip a song?
I guess the way to make it right would be to give me a free hour massage as a “do-over” cuz at this point I’m already planning to take my money to South Your Soul or some other place for my next one.
