Was repeatedly canceled on and not rescheduled in a timely manner.
Would go months without being able to schedule an appointment (still charged my membership fee though).
Quality of massages were bad, made me question if the therapists were even trained/qualified.
When I reached out to manager about putting my account on hold, she told me that she would do so and then I never got a confirmation email and I was charged (I requested a refund and was not given one or even put in touch with the manager/owner).
By the end of my membership, there were only 3 therapists left, all of them gave terrible massages.
This seems like a very poorly managed location. The good therapists left and they were never replaced. Scheduling was a nightmare. The only positive experience I had was with the front desk staff, but they also quit fairly regularly, which leads me to believe that the people in charge are at fault. Please get some better managers who treat their employees well so they want to stay! And pay them enough so they can stay! Even from a customer pov I can see the terrible management of this location.
I was rarely able to schedule a visit with the person that did my massages. The original person left? I would get a text the day of an opening which was not timely at all.
I have not been disappointed with any of the message sessions that I've had, my BIGGEST complaint is the lack of therapists and available times to schedule. There was a lot more therapists to chose from when I started at LaVida and now you're down to 4 with Kailyn (sorry if mispelled) eventually going on maternity leave early next year. Seems like nobody is replacing the people that left and all their already scheduled clients have to be put onto the remaining staff therapist. The lack of weekend schedule options and limited availability is the reason I have 7-8 prepaid sessions accumulated at this point. I was told when I asked on my last session just 12/7/24, that I can't even use any prepaid sessions at any other location but Shadeside, if that would even be an option. It's just very frustrating.
I'm disappointed I had to end the contract because I've always had a good experience. Over the last 6 months it has been difficult to find a day/time to accommodate my schedule.
Therapist concentrated on all my problem areas we spoke about before the session. He applied the perfect amount of pressure. I'm never disappointed with this location.
I have been going to Lavida in the past for years and even a member. I quess it is under new management and the vibe is down hill. It's is in needof new furniture and the shelves in the room I was in was dusty with cob Webb. The massage was good . Just not what I was and usually expect.
My last massage was terrible and I can honestly say
I usually have a good experience. The therapist dug
his nails into the bottom of each of my feet more than
once. I told him a had a partially torn rotator cuff in my
left shoulder and he completely ignored it.
He also did something when he gave me a scalp massage and it was really weird almost like he used
his knuckles to pinch part of my scalp together. It was
really weird and useless. After he was done he asked
if I would give him cash or Venmo him the gratuity so
that he could avoid taxes. For the first time in 10 or
more years since I’ve been a member I couldn’t wait to
leave.
