I bring my 18 month old to the Saturday morning 8:15 am session at meadowlands public school - our coaches are Stefano and Reyanne (not sure about the spelling).
For our family, at this age the activities are really about setting the example for our son when it comes to routine and the importance of physical activities. When they’re this little it’s not so much about the ability to play soccer, per say but again more about the routine, the fact of going somewhere first thing Saturday morning, meeting new people, learning from someone different. I feel like that’s super valuable. I think it’s a fun environment, my son seems to be picking up on games and skills over time and I enjoy the light spirited energy of the group.
Coaches are attentive, know the kids’ names and teach different skills each week. They also recap what they’ve learned. Especially great that they focus on learning and being positive instead of competitive.
The classes are very well geared toward young kids. I like the exercises and how the coaches reinforce concepts like "no hands on the ball" throughout. They are also good at getting kids to participate and feel included.
The only improvement could be to have the same coaches each week.
Our experience with Little Kickers has been very positive! Our child loves soccer because the coaches are engaged and friendly. The games are fun and interesting. It’s a great way to get our child doing physical activity!
I like that the kids are learning to play the game through mini-games that keep them engaged throughout the lesson. Coach David is fantastic with the kids, being a blend of approachable and fun. My daughter loves coming to Little Kickers!
My son’s Little Kickers experience has been fantastic! The coaches are friendly and welcoming, creating a warm environment where kids feel comfortable and excited. The lessons are age-appropriate, focusing on fun and basic soccer skills. The coaches are playful and creative, making sure every session is engaging and enjoyable. I love how they balance skill development with play, helping the kids build confidence and teamwork. Overall, it’s a fun, supportive, and well-organized class that my son truly enjoys! Just to add, my son’s fave coach is David and when he was not there he was looking for him. 😊
The coaches were so fun and engaged with the kids. Every coach we’ve had provided 1 on 1 feedback and time with the kids, and made sure everyone got equal play and participation. The kids always have a blast with the fun activities the coaches come up with.
