Have more classes for seniors such as chair yoga, gentle weight training classes, gentle balancing classes. Also, I think the fees are too high.

It's starting to get really crowded. I like many of the services--pool, cold dip, machines. I personally don't mind paying a little more for good service. Some of the highly used areas/machines maybe need duplicates. eg, dumbells, quad strengthening. space is getting to be an issue, but not sure the solution other than expansion. El Dorado, Arkansas has 3 levels at their facility. Very nice.

The pool needs to leave some room for swimmers when swim lessons are going.

The Pilates studio and barre classes are such a shame. Having done Pilates & barre all over the US, I expected much more. The studio only has 12 reformers for all the.members. It is difficult to get in a class and when you do, it is such a disappointment. The machines are such poor quality. The barre studio is so tiny and both rooms are poorly ventilated. It is obvious these classes are an after thought to the LRAC. I am embarrassed for the LRAC that you think these are acceptable. It is a good thing there are other options in LR.

Everyone that has anything to do with the pickleball desk are awesome

The basketball bin mostly has small (size 6) basketballs. It would be nice to have some actual size 7 balls, instead of the smaller ball that no one really uses

The facilities are not up to par with the prices we pay. There is tape holding the floor together in the men’s restroom, mold everywhere, and loose boards in the sauna. There isn’t enough gym equipment either. I’ve seen cheaper gyms like planet fitness who have more equipment available when needed. Considering this is one of the most expensive gyms in Little Rock I’d expect better.

1. The men’s locker room could use a little refreshing. Some of the locks on the lockers don’t work. 2. The hot tub water often is sudsy. It’s been over-chlorinated a few times. It would be good if a little more attention was paid to that area. 3. The new coffee machine is a winner.

These may seem minor, but in the interest of transparency, they detract from the premium experience that the cost of membership demands. First, in the men’s showers, some of the bottle holders have two bottles labeled “shampoo,” when in reality one of them is likely body wash. It’s easy to tell conditioner from shampoo and body wash but the body wash and shampoo are nearly identical. Additionally, sometimes the pumps don’t work and you can barely get anything out of it. So it would be great if someone could do a quick run through of all the bottles to ensure they’re correctly labeled and that the pumps work, and to swap out bottles and/or pumps as needed. Second, in the men’s steam room some sort of physical control needs to be implemented to keep people from pouring water on the temperature sensor. There’s no thermometer in the room to tell people what temp the air is currently. Some people see no steam and think “we need to turn on the steam.” The problem this creates is that the room has to get significantly hotter than the safe operating temperature in order for the thermostat to recover from the water-cooled temperature. So I would not doubt the steam room is reaching temperatures in excess of 200°F shortly after this occurs. This is a member safety issue, and a small sign near the *sauna* door is not a responsible mitigation for the risk this creates. I’m not sure what the right control is… perhaps a box can be fitted around the thermometer that is vented on the bottom and sealed on the top and sides. Pouring water would be prevented, but it might not stop people from chucking water upwards to get into the box. Another idea might be to set a minimum timeout period after the room has reached operating temperature so that the system ignores the thermostat input until after a predetermined length of time. A more disruptive control, if the system supports it, is to set a lockout threshold, so that if the room reaches a certain temperature, the system is locked out until a staff member resets the system. It might also be set to recognize rapid/sudden temperature drops that indicate the thermostat has been tampered with. That might encourage other members to discourage the behavior by explaining if they pour water then the system will shut down. Or a simple thermostat mounted to the wall could show members that the room, despite not being thick with steam, is actually at the safe operating temperature. There are several ideas to mitigate the safety risk, but staff cannot put a small sign up near the sauna and expect the risk to be effectively mitigated. Please, this issue desperately needs management intervention. Third, I would request management revisit the operating hours on the weekend. I’ve heard from multiple different members, typically those that go in the evenings on weekends, that they (and I) wish the club was open until 9pm on weekends. 8pm is early, and I get that the number of members drops the closer to closing time, but the locker room and wet areas have several members still right up until 8pm. I’d love an extra half hour to wind down and relax before leaving. I always feel rushed and if there’s any possibility the hours can be adjusted, that would be great! Also, maybe a bigger sign on the steam room and sauna doors that reminds members that they need to shower before using. It’s not great when someone rolls in smelling like sweaty underwear left in the car on a hot summer day, and let’s face it, no human being is going to tell them to get out and go wash themselves. Right now the reminder is buried on the wall of terms & conditions that no one reads. I’m not saying it’s right to ignore the wall of signs, I’m just explaining the reality that no one stands there to read the giant sign wall. More targeted, concise signs are needed for the important behaviors that can disrupt the experience of others. In summary: toiletries bottles in the showers, steam room safety, operating hours on weekends, and wet area etiquette. Those would have a high impact on my experience, personally. I strongly suspect it would have a high impact on others as well, just based on some comments and conversations I’ve overheard and had with other members.

Variety of work out options. It is more than a gym; it is an extension of the home.
