One of the few places in LR that you can play on clay courts. I wish they were better maintained. Courts are generally too dry at the 6 p.m. hour. Dust is better than hard courts.
Since this is a difficult time and the club is working short handed i understand that little things are not as important any more. But we do pay for your services and expect high quality in all things that relate to a club environment.
I sure things will get better but am at a loss at having to ask the same questions each time i play tennis. No water in the wells to wash off shoes but standing water in the ditch around the courts 4 & 5. This drainage issue is not new and been reported each year by our Tennis players as when a ball goes over the low fence it usually finds the ditch.
I have been told its a tennis matter and that fall to James at LRRC to take care of but i think its time it becomes a club matter for the Maintenance of the Tennis courts have been lacking for years.
Thanks for your sending out surveys hope you address our concerns in the future.
I have been at the racquet club since 1974. Have enjoyed the swimming pools, tennis courts, and workout facilities. The club has made sure that we’re all safe in this new era of life. The swimming and tennis programs are great for kids and adults. The new baby/toddler pool looks awesome. My kids grew up there, too. Now in this time of my life, I enjoy being up at club at 5 am swimming and working out up in gym area daily. Have met friends at club from 1974 till this day 2020 that I enjoy seeing and working out with. The racquet club is like a family home for us all to enjoy.
The forced signing of a waiver shielding the club from intentional and harmful acts by employees was a gross show of power by management that it wasn't interested in club members' safety. It's reasonable that the club would want to be shielded by claims that members contracted the virus at the club. The required waiver went well beyond that. And nowhere did the club state that it would take reasonable steps to protect the health of its members. Shame!
Loooove the pool side food now. The pool side food stands. Super excited about new baby pool. Love that I can do my sons tennis and swim lessons here. Tons of amenities for a one stop shop.
The club is always a great place to be.
A couple of things I've noticed during this pandemic season that we might be able to change. 1) A family showed up last Saturday at around 11 am with kids in tow. The club was already at max occupancy. You should have seen the disappointment in the kids' faces when they couldn't go to the pool. Maybe you guys can set up a notice on FB page or something that parents can check before they head up there with the entire family. Of course, someone will need to update it on an hourly basis. But that might help. 2) I was up at the gym running and noticed a couple of young men (probably 18, 20) who do not wipe the equipment down after they use it. Not sure how this can be enforced but just wanted you guys to know.
Thanks for all you do.
