Dr Nema and his staff guided me through my very traumatic brain hemorrhage. He has guided my care for the past 9 months and takes my questions and concerns seriously. I have witnessed first hand his caring and professional manner with the residents. My daughter just matched and starts her residency in June and I hope she has the mentoring physicians of the same caliber as Dr Nema as she begins her residency at the University of Michigan.
Thank you Dr Nema, it is and understatement to say I owe my life today to your skilled and caring soul. Bob

Everyone at the office is very nice and extremely helpful. My doctor is amazing! He has performed 2 procedures on me (one a double cervical fusion) and I have had very little pain with either procedure. After my fusion I only took pain meds ONE time! After my other procedure which also involved a rather large incision I had NO pain afterwards. Unheard of!

Everyone from the receptionists to the surgeon was wonderful. Cindy, Dr. Polifka's assistant was always so friendly and helpful. I was always amazed at how quickly I was scheduled for appointments and for the surgery. Dr. Polifka is incredible! It is so obvious that he cares deeply about his patients and he takes the time to help you understand what your issue is and gives you options for treating your condition. I had my follow up appointment with Polifka's PA Annalise and she was wonderful. Everyone in this practice is very friendly, professional and patient. They are very generous with their time and make sure your questions are answered and you understand next steps. I feel so fortunate a friend recommended Dr. Polifka. Can't say enough good things about the doc and his staff!

When scheduling my appointment with the scheduler was kind, friendly and helpful, as well as efficient. At my appointment the reception staff were cheerful, friendly and efficient. The PA-C, Mike Seese was excellent in gathering information from me as to what brought me Neurosurgery. He was friendly, personable and inspired confidence in his care. He reviewed the images of my MRI with me and explained the issue. He discussed his treatment plan with me and answered all my questions. I felt heard, not rushed and at the end of the appointment felt I have received expert care. Everyone during this process made me feel that they were happy I selected Lyerly for my care. Thank you.
