It is very hands on and you get to keep the things you build. So not only the kids can enjoy what they build and lead. But they can also show their parents and siblings:

My daughter is always excited for wednesdays to see what the next science lesson is and she can tell me in detail how the lesson went and what happened during an experiment. However, I wish they took home what they say in they would in the lesson plan flyer they sent out. So far, I think my daughter only came home with a couple of things.
