My kids absolutely loved their time at the YMCA camp this year. It was our first time using this camp and we will definitely be back next year. I loved how smooth drop off and pick ups were and how energetic and engaged the staff was. My son had a challenging moment one day and the counselor who talked to me about it was so professional and focused on helping my son through that moment without shaming him for it.
I'm old and physical exercise as well as socializing at the Y help keep spirits up. I wish it had been here when my daughter and granddaughter were young . I go swimming and to have somewhere to let them play in water instead of looking at a screen or me trying to think of new entertainment all winter would have been wonderful.
You can get a good sense of how a business, hospital etc are run by how employees act.The Y tends to be one of the happiest I've run across. Maybe it's from how much it does for members with so many programs that it means they deal with happy people all day. DMV clerks don't get that. I'm surprised more people don't join.
It's great that court time rates drop in the summer and unlike some other indoor courts, there is some air conditioning...and it's been a big difference this summer!
Everyone is so nice there and friendly but their equipment when it is down, it's down for a long time. There are some pieces still waiting to be fixed after months. My only complaint
Love the yoga class variety, the instructors and the yoga studio.
Wish women also had a steam room in addition to a sauna like the men do (so I have heard)!!!
Manlius Y is a very welcoming space
