I love all the group exercise classes. Thank you for making them available, varied and at a variety of times. In chatting with other members, we've found that more dumbells in the Body Pump room would be welcomed, especially in heavier sizes (10, 12, 15 pounds). Sometimes we run short in HIIT sometimes or TBC.
This is the closest place to my house that has a pool. As soon as the y gets finished up on Ames I will be back there closer to home yet but in the meantime I like what I'm doing
I am taking a silver sneakers class on Tuesday and Thursday so my body does better at recovering from the hip replacement I had 2 years ago and these classes have really worked well for me.
I attend the Maple street YMCA at least 3 times most weeks. I enjoy all the silver sneakers classes- each instructor does them a little differently and I like the variety. Also, I absolutely love the chair dancing classes! Bu the end of each class, i feel that I have had a good work out and added at least 3,000 steps to my fit bit counter! The front desk staff is always pleasant and helpful.
I don't feel intimidated working out next to others who are already trim or have great .Isles play working with weights. It's just a pleasant place to work.
