I think the ymca culture that is cultivated over there is amazing. The entire team and staff is so kind, personable, and seem to enjoy one another. I can’t tell you how glad I am to have this ymca in my community. The best part of this location is the staff by far, which makes the y a safe and happy place to be.
I liked the outdoor playground right next to the outdoor pool, locker rooms were confusing especially for families, but facility was nice and clear and staff was welcoming.
I love the Y! All of the area are always clean and the team provides great service. We love taking our little to Y play. Hope there can be some additional hours added to the schedule, would love to take advantage. I have had several team members mention the new mobile app, but I am unable to locate it on the website or in the Apple app store. Would love to learn more so I can have it accessible on my phone.
I LOVE the Y. I love the staff and all the amenities. I deeply appreciate the quick and transparent messages to members when things are down for maintenance or unavailable for any reason.
My ONLY wish is that we had the bumper plates/weights that are at the wooden stands in wellness area 1 down in area 2.
I’m good with it how it is of course, it’s just a request that I’m thinking about as my workout split requires me to split time between both wellness areas.
Friendly staff. On my first visit one of the staff escorted me to the outdoor pool. It was very nice of her. She could have just given me directions so her taking me there was a nice touch.
They are always updating the facility and it's very clean. The staff are extremely nice and friendly. There are so many opportunities 9ffered to better my Mind, Body, and Spirot. The Margaret Maddox YMCA is the best Y, this side of the Mississippi!
My grandchildren were visiting from out of town. The staff was so kind and helpful getting them registered as guests. I took them swimming everyday for the week they were here. They loved it and want to come back there next year when they visit.
There's a wonderful sense of community at this YMCA. The employees at the front are so friendly and helpful.
I wish there was more room for personal workout space, other than the area where the kitchen and fireplace(?) are. It's overflowing and people have to set up in the walkway area, just at the edge. It also seems that more and more equipment for rowing, etc. keeps being put in this area, leaving less and less room. I know the large studio can be used for personal workouts, but that's only when there aren't any classes going on. So there's hardly any space to use for hand weights, etc. when classes are going on in the large studio - which is when it's most needed. I see lots of sitting areas and hang-out areas that aren't typically being used. Perhaps those spaces could be reconsidered?
Also, the 5-10 mats in this area are really nasty smelling and I'm sure unsanitary. Maybe they could be rotated with ones from downstairs? Lastly, it would be great to have a couple of sets of rollers, bosus and large exercise balls designated for this area These items tend to disappear often, and it's frustrating hunting for them downstairs or in other rooms etc.
