I was given a very good tour when I started. So far everything has been as I was told. Parking great, not icy, machines available, and people very pleasant. Glad I joined.
No barriers, friendly staff, clean, knowledgeable staff.and they care about you which makes you feel like family.. only issue is not enough handicap parking spaces.
I am so happy to have a gym to go to after my previous gym discontinued my health insurance membership. But I need to mention that the experience is so much different. In the past 18 months I've begun having some physical issues and have gone from the picture of health and fitness to one of daily challenges. At my previous gym I felt as if the clientele was at best uncomfortable with my presence and at worst, downright rude to me because of my issues. At the YMCA I've had such a profoundly different experience. People have asked me how I'm doing, held doors for me and even asked how they could pray for me. I couldn't be happier with how things have worked out.
So far I've enjoyed walking the track, but also just completed two hours with personal trainer John Miedema. We worked on weights, and I learned a great deal about what will work best for me.
