I love the environment of the facility, and all of the classes offered. Our kids attend day camp each summer, and take swim and cooking classes. We love the Y!
I’ve been coming to Mary free bed for a few years now and I love it! I’ve worked out at the other Y locations, bodybuilding gyms, and other sports complexes and I always end up back at Mary free bed i think it’s just the best one stop shop for anything fitness with a great vibe and an awesome staff as well. My only complaint would be a slight lack of equipment from a bodybuilding standpoint which is seemingly not the target demographic that being said the equipment selection is still great, but if i had to give specifics i would love to have access to a pendulum squat or a pit squat machine, a seated dip machine, and 1 additional back machine either a stretch emphasized row with a long working range or a better pulldown machine. Nonetheless an amazing place to train and the place I will choose to train indefinitely
The family atmosphere.
Suggestions
1) Occasionally (10% of the time) the music is so loud in the weightlifting area that I can't hear my ear buds. The majority of people now have ear buds and are playing what they want to hear. Playing music in gyms is so 80s (says the 60 year-old).
2) Could the Sunday hours be changed to open at 9:00 a.m. and Saturday hours to open at 6:30 a.m.?
We have enjoyed the teachers, pool and clean family changing rooms. The classes recently increased in price and time to 40 mins but it feels a bit long. I would be ok keeping the 30 mins instead.
