We’ve had such a wonderful experience with my daughter’s math tutor. They’ve been instrumental in helping her grasp key concepts in her algebra class, and we’ve seen her confidence grow tremendously. The tutors are supportive, patient, and truly effective in their coaching. Colleen Major, in particular, is a phenomenal communicator. Her attention to detail is outstanding, and she goes above and beyond to stay connected with both students and families. That personal touch ensures we’re getting the most out of the tutoring experience. It’s been a fantastic investment in my daughter’s education — absolutely worth every penny. I couldn’t recommend them more highly!

Very welcoming atmosphere and my son enjoys the extra help in a positive environment. He seems more confident with his schoolwork and In feel that the Mathnasium will be the bridge to get him through what has been a tough 4th grade year for him!

Thank you for brining your son to Mathnasium! We love being able to support his math growth!

When we first enrolled our son into Mathnasium, it was bc his Math MAP scores dropped to below the 50th percentile after Covid and the score didnt spring back right away after Covid. After about 1.5years of faithful sessions (3 sessions/wk), his MAP scores have steadily improved until recently, he finally broke thru the 90th percentile. It was SO pain-free. Our son really likes the classes and the instructors and all the fun games. They really make math fun for the kids, and math has become what was once our son’s least favorite subject to now his favorite…bc it’s not so hard anymore, he says :)

I love Mathnasium and think it's fantastic for kids. I do think if you want to keep teenage students, you need to expand your hours at least 1 evening/week. If teens are in any extra-curriculars, it is almost impossible to get there by 6pm. I think it would be really smart to add an extra hour on Wed or Thurs nights until 8pm. My son saw a Chemistry tutor last year and routinely had to meet with her at 7 or 8pm and it worked very well. This is part of the reason Ethan will be done with mathnasium at the end of October. We just can't get him to the center during the hours you are open. But we appreciate all you have done for our family over the years!!

Thank you Ruth! We have loved supporting your son’s and daughter’s math growth over the years! Thank you for the helpful feedback about extending center hours as well.

Our son came to Mathnasium in January really struggling in his middle school math class. He had lost confidence in his ability. We visited two competitors first and he was very negative about the experience, I assumed because of his attitude about math. When we walked in the Barrington center, we were greeted by name and welcomed warmly. It absolutely set the tone for a positive experience and that never changed throughout the seven months we were there. Through our twice a week sessions, he gained a lot of math skills AND confidence, which we know was due to the knowledge and inviting staff members. We are very grateful to be "graduating" and to be prepared for the year ahead! Thank you, Mathnasium of Barrington!

My daughter is six and started Kindergarten at five. She needed extra support with her math as she also has ADHD and has trouble staying attentive during instruction. She loves coming and has developed a special relationship with many of the teachers. They are patient with her and she is making progress. I am very pleased with the feedback and the support we have received from Mathnasium. It’s a very welcoming environment. We are looking forward to really hearing what her teachers think of her progress in the fall which will be six-eight months from when we started.

We've been attending math club since Summer 2020. This year I have a 4th grader and a Kindergarten enrolled. They love the time spent - more fun than work. We had great experience with the Directors - just wish there wasn't the turnover, hoping these two stick.

Mathnasium has been very good for our daughters’ math education. We are very happy with the teaching as well as the flexibility on scheduling. The local team is very creative, motivated and friendly!

My 10 yr old is doing really well at Math and made the math enrichment program, and the credit goes to Mathnasium. They have taken a one on one approach in the evaluation process, spend time talking to parents, identify the weak area and did what's needed. So thank you Mathnasium and a special thank you to Taylor for all the help!
