My 2nd grader now enjoys math because of the knowledgeable and supportive staff who take the time to explain math concepts until she understands; my 6th grader has more math confidence because of Mathnasium's focus on filling in the gaps of his knowledge.
My goal that I shared with my son in attending Mathnasium is that not only would he establish the building blocks of a stronger foundation in Math, but that he would Love doing Math and also build confidence, believing in himself that he Can do it. I am happy to report that within two weeks this was already happening! He also loves going to Mathnasium and looks forward to it!
I love the fact that I can bring my kids to Mathnasium when it is convenient to me and not at a set time or day. I like the fact that I can bring up to four times a week!
I like that you reach out to my children's math teacher to make sure you are targeting the right concepts. The pre and post-tests help me to know how they have improved.
And, happily, your staff is great and my children don't mind going.
My child is very well treated and gets a lot of attention and help at Mathnasium. She finds real help and the explanations which she sadlly cannot find in her BVSD elementary class. She starts to like Math better thanks to the different approach Mathnasium is teaching students.
this program has helped our dauaghter so much. she finds the reward system to be of great motivation and the support from peers very stimulating. I would suggest that since the new ownership there has been some concern about it being less fun and more sterile. Hope that helps.
Although my daughter's needs for math help have evolved from an earlier "acute" need to now "occasional", she has strong confidence in knowing she can get the help she needs at Mathnasium. We have appreciated the flexibility to adjust our membership agreement as her needs have morphed.
Teachers are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They are patient and really work to help students understand problems. They get kids excited about math and make them feel good about math. And it's for all level of math students. For students who want to excel in math, it makes them feel like it's okay to love math. It can also help kids with active sports schedules get their math done in a supportive and focused environment.
