We’ve had a great experience with Mathnasium overall. The staff is friendly, supportive, and my daughter genuinely enjoys going, which says a lot. I’ve already noticed a boost in her confidence with math.
There was one small hiccup where she asked for help with a specific problem but didn’t receive the extra worksheets right away. Once I stopped in and asked, they took care of it immediately.
Aside from that, everything has been excellent. We’re very happy with the program and would definitely recommend it to other families.
My daughter has been going to the Mathnasium center for past 4 to 5 years. Getting the extra help from the instructors has boosted her confidence and helped her stay ahead of class. She has liked all of her instructors and we appreciate all the support we have received. Having a concentrated hour of practice have improved her focus skills over the years.
I think to start off my daughter really loves it! Although she doesn’t like the fact that she has to go, she really likes that she understands the concepts. she previously attended to Kumon and she likes the Magnasium experience much better.
The progress reports are awesome! I really appreciate the feedback and understanding where she is performing and how she’s getting a grasp of the concepts.
The staff has been incredibly welcoming, and they took the time to do a thorough assessment to understand exactly where she is — and more importantly, how to get her where she needs to be. My daughter actually looks forward to going, which speaks volumes about how engaging and confidence-building their approach is.
My son (10) is very adept at math and finds it fun. He always wants more mathnasium sessions. He's learning advanced topics for someone entering 5th grade and it's helping him feel more confident about being in the 2 year advanced math program this year.
My daughter (12) has quite a lot of anxiety and perfectionism associated with learning math. She feels like she can go at her own pace and ask a lot of questions at mathnasium, which isn't always possible in class. She is also in advanced math, but has quite a lot of gaps in her learning. She feels mathasium is helping her to target those gaps before she dives into algebra 1 this year. So, I hope it will calm some of her anxiety and allow her to apply mathmatics and logic to real world problems more easily.
We began sending both of our kids to Mathnasium after noticing them struggle with their test scores. Over the past year and half, we have seen not only an improvement in their test scores, but a great improvement in their confidence related to math. They both enjoy going to their sessions and look forward to collecting their cards.
