We've already recommended Mathnasium to friends in person & on FB. My 3rd & 6th graders love Mathnasium. They have both improved in school since attending Mathnasium. My third grader is bored in school math & Mathnasium provides the advanced challenge he needs. My sixth grader was promoted to advanced math.
Mathnasium has been a great experience for my daughter. She loves going there and just the other day she came home from school telling me how they were learning new math problems that Mathnasium already taught her! Well worth it to keep my daughter up to speed and even get ahead with math!
The kids really enjoy going to the center and they have made learning math fun & enjoyable. My daughter is the top student in Math in her 9th grade class and I believe the center plays a strong role in this. They've been attending for a few years now and Mathnasium has been able to work with them through all the grade levels and math challenges.
My kids love going to Mathnasium! Honestly, it's one of the only activities they don't complain about attending. They even loved the assessment the very first day, which to me looked like a test! The teachers and director do an amazing job making math fun. My kids love the motivational incentives they can earn, and really work hard for the incentives. There's nothing rote or boring about the way Mathnasium teaches math. Their program has helped my kids learn to think more mathematically. It's not like a typical tutoring program, where my kids do their homework with another adult. I can do that at home! Mathnasim has gotten them excited about math, and able to think at a higher level.
Our son has always loved math but when we first moved to a new state with a different style learning of math he got very discouraged. After joining Mathnasium his confidence went back up and looks forward to going to Mathnasium.
We appreciate the scheduling accommodations that have been made in the past. Thank you! Both girls have complained about a few of the instructors they have had recently. Apparently, they were not providing enough instruction/guidance.
Our son gained a tremendous amount of confidence with his math work in a short amount of time. We went from tears of frustration for all of us to him having his math work completely under control on his own. He never once complained about going to Mathnasium for his sessions -- he truly enjoyed the experience. Would not hesitate to endorse the Glen Ellyn center to anyone looking for help.
