Our daughter has only been at Mathnasium for about five weeks, but her attitude toward math has greatly improved already in that time. She likes the environment and the tutors, and she is making steady progress in mastering challenging topics.
I felt Olivia was given the attention she needed to be successful. However, my only concern was that due to the age of some of the tutors, they relied on her to tell them what she needed to work on. The tutors need to ask the students "do you have any tests/ quizzes this week"? If so, what are they covering... rather than "do you have homework". Those are two very different questions. There were a few instances where Olivia was given a Mathnasium packet to work on rather than concentrating on the material she was being tested on the following day. On one occasion, the tutor had her stay an extra hour to cover the test material.
Alex had been going to Mathnasium for a year and his grades are
fantastic. He was having a hard time in math getting C's
And D's, now Alex is getting A's and B's. I would recommend
Mathnasium to anyone who's child is having problems.
Has been a great experience for my child. She id becoming more comfortable and confident as she develops skills that help her problem solve on various math concepts. Wish our schedule would allow for her to come more often. Definitely a good deal if you are able to come several times a week.
