I'm very pleased with the advancement I've seen in just one year. She blows me away now. I see her learn the skill for the worksheet in front of her, RETAIN that information, and even go onto apply that within other lessons. We got to fractions in her math book, and it explained that you divide by 4 to find 1/4 of a number (and so on), but instead of writing out a division box on her page, she used her Mathnasium "trick" and just did it mentally. She just spit out the answer and I was floored. She said, "Yeah, I just halved it and halved it again." That only comes with a true understanding. She's actually thinking mathematically! (Sometimes) ;) She's still struggling with her math attitude, but old habits die hard. She's very comfortable with the instructors now and that goes a long way towards confidence. I know the longer she does this, the more successes she'll have, and that math 'tude (which is really her math anxiety) will fade as her confidence grows. I've already seen it dwindle. Thank you, Mathnasium.
I am so thankful to Mathnasium, you are definitely the reason my daughter was able to walk across that stage and receive her diploma. She had been having to retake and retake her Pert test for graduation and kept failing it until she went a month long of tutoring to Mathnasium and she was able to pass it even with a higher score. The counselor called her into the office immediately because she couldn't believe her score, knowing that she had retaken the test a couple of times. Thank you, thank you again. We would definitely use your services again if needed with my son.
My daughter started Mathnasium just last month and with the help of the terrific tutors and the caring staff she has raised her Math grade all the way to a B. She actually looks forward and enjoys going to Mathnasium and doing Math in school.
My seventh grader is continuing to increase his Algebra Honors grade, thanks to your attentive team he is able to finish his homework accurately and is doing better at his tests. I would have to maybe change to fewer times per week because I find it a little expensive to continue for a month to month payment. Overall I am pleased with the experience.
The fact they work with your child and make you feel they are just invested in your child as you are. A partnership in the learning process so you do not feel alone when helping your child in Math. The best part in helping them with their Homework:)
