My daughter really enjoys going to Mathnasium. The only thing I would say is that I wish you opened on Fridays. Due to sports and other activities having a Friday option would be super helpful.
My kids feel welcomed. They like their teachers. They always feel each class helps them to clarify concepts and be ready for their classes at school. The only time they have complained is when they have to share the teacher with 3 or more kids and they cannot finish an assignment or something was not clear because they run out of time
We like how supportive everyone has been in teaching our child. Due to her school and extracurricular activities we would like more flexibility in the days mathnasium is open such being open on Friday and extended hours on Saturday..
My son was not motivated to do tutoring for this summer , but after his first day I saw a difference in his attitude, he was actually happy to go in for his tutoring, he was happy every time I picked him up, thank you so much it was a great experience and will come back if needed.
My son came to Mathnasium needing A LOT of help. The manager Chris was very helpful and made signing up so easy. He's going 3 days a week and a I already see his confidence going up. He took a test today on fractions and only missed 3 problems! The tutoring groups are small and I feel like he gets the individualized attention that he needs to help him understand new concepts. I will continue to have him go to Mathnasium once the school year starts.
Everybody is friendly and polite.
At the beginning my son did not think he needed the extra help, because he had good grades in math. But then he realized he could use those sessions to clarify concepts and review his homework and tests.
I just do not like the location. Too many homeless people make me nervous. I wish they have some security door
Chris at the front desk makes the entire experience seamless and welcoming. I feel comfortable as a parent dropping off my daughter and all of the tutors--shout out to Luna and Trayvon for making my daughter feel more comfortable and passing down mathematical knowledge in a safe space.
Please give the team a raise, actually the entire company of tutors a raise. Teaching kids is hard work and especially for the team being so encouraging with the students, and increasing economic prices in this economy.
My two grandchildren were very hesitant and skeptical about the thought of MORE math!! It’s almost a year, and they look forward to going. The catch up with homework, receive clarity on understanding curriculum and much more. It’s a major win for both of them.
Chris is THE BEST Math tutor and one of the kindest and hard-working people we have known and he is doing an amazing job as Director of the Bixby Knolls Mathnasium.
I would recommend Mathnasium because I like that it is subject specific. I do have some constructive feedback though — my daughter is highly incentivized by your prize program, so much so that she prefers to do mastery checks instead of reviewing her homework and tests. This means that she is not improving on her academic work. I would like for you to incentivize school work. The manager has said they will do that, but individual teachers do not abide. She is often told she doesn’t get stars/cards for homework or test prepping. There is also one teacher that she says is mean. The kids need to want to attend. She loves all but this one.
My twin grandkids were hesitant to start, as they had failing grades in algebra in the 7th and 8th grades. After their first visit, they looked forward to going to each session, learning was fun. They are in the 9th grade now and have As and Bs in Algebra. Additionally their attitudes for learning and education has greatly improved. A true hands down win, win!
