Kokila and her group of teachers are great. Always looking for bringing the best from them. The place is very well located. My daughters are improving their grades and they can understand better their classes.
Teaching is individualized. There are no "groups". There are always plenty of teachers in the room. All are cheery and know each student's name. Their feedback to the students is always positive. The program has a printed curriculum showing each step of every math goal. All the teachers are "on the same page" because each child's individual list is on the table where the child is working. The teachers circulate, encouraging and helping. There are only a few students at any one time so the teachers can spend as much time with a student as needed. Each child has a white ring binder for keeping track of progress. There is nothing in the room that shows what level anyone has achieved. There are small rewards for reaching a goal. Attitude is a major part of learning and my granddaughter's attitude toward math went from "totally defeated" to "I can do this!" in just the first two weeks. Scheduling is very flexible.

My son, even though only getting one time a week help, has improved his math skills
His math grades have improved. The one on one help he has received has made a difference. Having someone
Watch him do each math step has helped him in finding his math errors, and how to correct them.
Every tutor he has had, has been professional and encouraging.
My daughter is a sophomore at Sunset High School and finds this learning center very helpful and huge difference in learning techniques. The 1 on 1 personal sessions are very helpful, the overall results are amazing. Thank you!
Hi Kokila, I want you to know that we had a great experience. The assessments really helped to target the holes that KJ had with math and because of these improvements he made it into the advanced math class.
I am not sure how helpful it was for Alina. She stayed at the same level for her math skills (97%) before and after.
We found an individual tutor for KJ for the coming year. He has his first math test today, so we'll see how that goes. We may come back in summer. Thanks again, Susan
My daughter was in in advance math at Stoller. She attended Mathnasium weekly to help her with Math Count homework. Instructors at Mathnasium are very patient and knowledgeable. They spent time going over the problems with her and ensured she understands.
My son is not the self-learning type of students. Luckily, with the interactive tutoring approach in Mathnasium, he made big improvement in understanding and solving math word problems. The staffs in the center are very supportive and helpful. My son enjoys going to this tutoring center. Thank you to Kokila, the center manager. She is passionate in teaching, and being so helpful.
This was a great experience for my 5th grader who struggled the most with math. After his initial assessment, I knew the team at mathnasium knew the best way to get the most out of him. Mt 3rd grade daughter only went for a month and I look forward to re-enrolling her soon. My youngest daughter, in 2nd grade enjoyed the experience and uses some of the adding concepts taught to her by the team at Mathnasium. Overall, a great learning center with a very supportive team.
The girls has a very positive learning experience in Mathnasium. They are very helpful and flexible in adjusting to our very busy schedule and really worked hard to accommodate our changes. The staff are very helpful and approachable. They enjoyed going to Mathnasium.
