I feel that ever since my daughter started going to Mathnasium, she has become more confident and less anxious about math. My daughter tells me that the way the tutors dedicate their time to her explaining the assignments makes her learning enjoyably; she feels that Mathnasium it is more like homework help than just math assignments she is required to complete.
Gail is a great director and very responsive. My son loves going to his session and he feels accomplished after each session. I am seeing much improvement!
Thank you
My daughter has a great experience at Mathnasium North Bethesda. The teachers are kind and patients with her. She seems having a good comprehension at topics discussed at Mathnasium. Definitely recommend!
My daughter loves going to Mathnasium, and as a result, she is solving Math problems at a level above her current grade. She has also developed considerable confidence in her problem-solving abilities.
My kids love coming to Mathnasium. They look forward to seeing friends and teachers. They actively identify days that they want to go because the Mathnasium calendar that identifies the special days is on our calendar. They specifically ask to attend on certain days, and make their best efforts to learn the work and complete pages. It has been a great afterschool, and weekend activity. The Mathansium team has also been really great about working with my kids, who often do not like to sit down when working. They are patient and flexible. Great environment and team.
My daughter had previously avoided studying math until she encountered the young tutors at Mathnasium. Their gentle, non-instructional approach really appealed to her. The tutors only explain concepts when asked, allowing the kids to learn at their own pace and feel in control of their education. Additionally, various awards for completing tasks motivate the students.
I do want to caution parents about the initial placement test. My daughter didn't put much effort into it, which resulted in her being placed at a level much lower than her actual ability. It took several conversations with the tutors to finally get her in the right level for her skill set.
