Malcolm and his team are truly exceptional—knowledgeable, patient, and deeply committed to helping each child build confidence and improve their math skills. They take the time to understand each student’s individual needs and learning style, creating a supportive environment where progress feels achievable and even fun. Their dedication makes a real difference in helping students not only catch up but also excel. My daughter was behind in Math when she started but is now ahead of where she needs to be.

We had gone to other tutors in Truckee and it really didn’t help our daughter. She started Mathnasium her junior year with hard math after being a child of Covid homeschool during pivotal years, and they helped her pull her grade to a B+. She gained confidence, loved the teachers, and learned a lot. Very thankful for them.

My son loves it and has improved already. We have referred friends. I wish it was a little quieter, but my son seems to be able to concentrate enough.

Since going to Mathnasium my daughter understands math better. She loves the tutors and has developed more confidence in her math skills. She is playing catchup right now to get up to her grade level of math. I intend to keep her in Mathnasium on through highschool.

I'm so happy that my child has such wonderful support in their group. The Mathnasium teachers are incredibly friendly and have a great approach to teaching. My child truly enjoys going there, and I can see a noticeable difference in their learning. The creative manager Malcolm is fantastic—always positive, open to new ideas, and eager to explore fresh ways of teaching and connecting with the children.

We are so grateful for the tutors at Mathnasium who have taught our daughter math. She started the program by testing at a 1st grade level and with 3 months of work has caught up to her peers in second grade. On her last math test she got the highest grade in her class where before she was receiving F’s. At the pace she is working, she will start the next school year ahead of her classmates. It is worth every penny spent!

Mathnasium in Northwest Reno (MaeAnne) has been fantastic! The program, the consistency, the attention, and the reliability in excellence of the Joe, Malcolm, and the tutors has been incredible. Both of my daughters have made great gains in their understanding of math and their confidence in being able to do math! Our public schools fall short in actually teaching math completely and this is why Mathnasium is so valuable. I cannot say enough good things about this place and recommend it to anyone who wants their child to truly understand math and not be afraid of it--the motto is "we make math make sense" and they hold true to that. Shoot, I wish I could go as an adult because the way they teach is just so cool!
