My daughter has been doing great at Mathnasium in Menlo Park. She is very motivated by the reward system, which really encourages her to work hard. Of course, there are some days when she doesn’t feel like going, but overall she enjoys it and is doing very well there.
She always tries her best to complete as many pages as she can to earn more tickets. I can definitely see that practice makes a big difference. Spending about an hour a day practicing math has really helped improve her math skills.
Angie and Avante at the Menlo Park- Palo Alto center have been incredibly helpful and patient with all of my questions. I really appreciate the time they take to explain the approach and keep us informed about our daughter’s progress.
Most importantly, our daughter genuinely seems to enjoy the environment and the tutors. She feels comfortable there, which makes a big difference. In just the three weeks she’s been attending, I can already see her confidence growing.
We feel optimistic that by the end of the year she will be at par with where she needs to be for her grade level in math skills. Thank you for creating such a supportive and encouraging learning space.
Great learning and fun environment for kids.
The only thing I can suggest is that the young tutors get trained and evaluated to make sure that they are still suitable to tutor children in math.
Individual coaching is helpful. Ability to reschedule lessons whether within Appointy or by email is helpful. Student can be reminded to bring in homework even if they don't need help so that instructors can see the material. It would be great if the instructors can ensure that the binders are up to date and contain progressively new material vs. too much repeat of old material (esp. if that wasn't intended by the curriculum). Email feedback after sessions is helpful as earlier it was hard to receive the paper feedback/summary post every session. Thank you for the improvements and for the team efforts!
My son enjoys completing the pages in his math binder and is proud of his progress. We signed him up because state testing showed him behind in math although he did well in school. He wanted to attend the classes because his friend was there as well, but when schedules didn't align, he would happily go by himself to mathnesium. Now, he is working 2 grade levels ahead and proud of his progress.
Very happy with Mathnasium so far. Likely will have our other daughter join this summer. Daughter scored her first 4 on her school math test after only being at Mathnasium a short time. Understand there is more hard work and progress to come but very happy right now as parents.
My son started Mathnasium when he was 5 years old because he loved math so much. His math skills have grown and so has his love for math! Thank you Mathnasium!
My daughter really likes the setting and that older kids are the ones helping and teaching her . She also likes, that she earns points and it’s rewarded by getting squishy toys.
Our daughter loves mathnasium- she learns so much and has so much fun. The teachers are kind and great with kids. My daughter loves all the prizes and hates missing a session!
It’s been a great experience. Super easy drop off and pick up, my daughter really enjoys her time there and her math skills are improving significantly.
