I love the staff here at Mathnasium and they all do a great job, but I wish they gave the kids trinkets from the dollar store or something instead of candy for punch cards. Kids seriously do not need more sugar and they seem to eat it there when they shouldn't be; as most are there around dinner time. I wish there was no such thing as cool down; they can cool down on way home. I think they should just do their work and go because it is a derailment for the kids and the ones still working get bothered and don't do what they are there to do. If a child is done and parent isn't there yet, have a little corner still that they can play, or have a computor with RapidMath.net on it so they can just do math drills. That would be a more fun cool down too but not really just hanging out cool down.
Just some ideas.
Great place to learn math and develop analytical thinking. Great staff and fun for kids to learn as well. My son had been with them since age 4 and he loves math. Tried Kumon but that did not suit his needs and we changed to Mathnasium and he has been with them since.
Our daughter loves Mathnasium. She's engaged, focused, and having fun when attending Mathnasium. She's more confident in her math skills in her math class in school. We like the curriculum. I've recommendeded Mathnasium to our friends.
