Mays YMCA has a good selection of activities for all ages. The instructors are qualified and skilled to teach the activities and deliver instructions. I had the pleasure of taking the personal strength training class! The one on one training was designed to fit my skill level and goals. I highly recommend.
The Y is a great place for me! I just turned 70 and I'm determined to stay healthy. It's also nice to have a place to get away to. You offer so many good classes! All staff friendly very clean facility. Spacious facility which is well thought out.
I really like the pools, child care rooms, exercise equipment, tables for lunch in the lobby, and access to the Potranco library. It is a great place to get some exercise and have a fun day with my kids! The staff have all been kind and helpful.
I love playing basketball and swimming there. The staff is helpful, however my first time there was not good. It was a Sunday night and no one was on the court and I was told that I couldn't play. Very disappointed.
We work out at the gym every morning and it is always so clean. No matter who greets you from the front desk, they are always so polite and professional. The staff is amazing. My spouse takes guitar lessons there and I am enrolled in the healthy living program. Thank you for all you do at the YMCA on Potranco. We appreciate you all.
The wife and I will only be using the big pool to walk & swim in. We are most fortunate to have our own work out equipment at our home. We've been members there 3 different times since your opening reason we didn't stay around was the conflict on the large pool area. The way I see the use of the pool large one is we all pay a membership fee to use it and other than scheduled classes it should be first come first serve for all lanes. If people are already in a lane and its in use they shouldn't be ask if they can move into a walking lane to accommodate the swimmer that in most cases arrive 15 minutes late to begin with. We don't mind sharing the lane with a swimmer but the swimmer normally wants it to their self and will go running to the front office are pool official to get their time swimming. So sure it probably is the same way today. Just rejoined 1 September and have not reentered the pool yet. So awaiting the the future outcome.
Exercise classes, kids club, trainers, affordability, clean facilities, staff is friendly, and knowledgeable. I think Mays YMCA IS AN EXCELLANT PLACE for health and socializing.
I thank God every day for having found yoga and for all the wonderful instructors who have helped me on my journey to getting in shape and staying healthy—especially Rey, my yoga instructor, who is phenomenal at encouraging and guiding us. I just wish there were more evening Zumba options.
We like the staff and the quality of the instructors and leaders of the programs. We appreciate that the programs provide insights for a positive, healthy lifestyle.
The YMCA staff are very friendly and helpful. I only swim and the pool and men's locker room is always clean. Several lifeguards are very professional and appear to take their job seriously. Of note is Randall and Jessica.
