We are so impressed by the YMCA, especially the Potranco location. The youth programs director Daniel Hernandez goes above and beyond to ensure all the children are included and empowered in practices and games. He is fair and has a growth mindset that transfers to over youth sports, which are the core values of the YMCA. All of the parents on the team were highly impressed by him and were eager to request him for the next fall season of volleyball. Also, all the staff from the YMCA in volunteers were professional, kind and focused on the core values of YMCA organization. The facilities and where the games are hosted were all well-maintained, cleaned and ready for games well before set times. Tremendous thanks again to the YMCA staff. I cannot wait to register my daughter again for volleyball. She has grown exceptionally with the program and developed skills that other places would’ve charged an arm and a leg for. We truly appreciate all the YMCA does for families.
The ymca is a safe and welcoming enviroment. There is a variety of classes, events and sports fir all ages. Leaders or coaches have knowledge and enciurage growth in a hapoyvway
I love the family friendly environment and the employees always seem to have a smile on their face.
I'd like more shade and seats at the soccer fields and more water play area would be cool, like outside pool with a slide or something.
More classes needed in 2019 I joined the Potranco Mays YMCS and there were several cycling classes on the weekends. Currently there are not any for weekends.
I love water volleyball. Our group has grown and has united us as one big family. We share group chats- opinions- life journeys and pray together as when anyone in the group is ill or needed of prayer. Age don't matter on our circle of friends. We all are treated equal.
I like the early morning group workouts-its the only time I have to workout.
Josie, Lauren and Leonard are great- wish they had more morning classes and variety
Everyone is so accommodating and kind. The child watch and kid watch staff are so sweet and really rooting for you. I love the doseum structure in the middle. I usually have my kids play there after I work out. Physical training has been fantastic too!
I like that there is not a yearly contract to sign, I can do my aquatic therapy exercises in a nice pool for less cost than my health insurance (and I can participate in additional classes and/or use weights and exercise equipment in the gym). It's also handy to have a library in the building where I can pick up books on hold!
