I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF THE Y FOR A LONG TIME. SEVERAL DECADES I BELIEVE. I LIKE THE FACILITY AND THE EXERCISE OPPORTUNITIES IT OFFERS.
STAFF SEEM TO BE COMPETENT BUT DESPITE ATTENDING FOR YEARS THEY ARE NOT VERY FRIENDLY. NOT UNFRIENDLY, BUT JUST SLIGHTLY ALOOF EXCEPT FOR A FEW STAFF MEMBERS. BUT YOUR FRONT DESK STAFF SEEMS TO CHANGE A LOT.
The YMCA offers a variety of programs, services and activities at multiple ability levels which accommodate the majority of people. This helps especially the elderly! It is a friendly and welcoming environment!
The experience my grandkids had for the first time was awesome. However I didn't like that when they had games the were in different fields due to the fact that they suffer anxiety and the youngest is 4 years old.
Enjoy the most of the programs.
Have two concerns: The number of Y personnel has been reduced in workout area and the new treadmill and bike machines can not be used by old style ear phones.
It's important to keep our kids active and engaged in physical activity and the YMCA has various activities to choose from. The locations are also accessible since there are so many around town. The staff is very respectful and courteous at every location making it enjoyable to be there. We love the YMCA because everyone becomes a family.
Magda is just AMAZING! There is no other word. I am on my 40s, never learned how to swim and was terrified about getting inside that pool. She is so patient and fun, she made me feel very safe and comfortable to put my fear aside and learn. Her teaching skills and her passion about it really show. Only a couple of months in and I have crossed that pool with free style and back stroke.
I could not be happier with my instructor!
