I bought a trek madone sl5 from Michael’s Cycles through BikeExchange. Price was exceptional black friday type of price. Delivery was quick, like in 2 days. Bike needed little assembly. Sales people were quick to respond to my emails regarding the assembly. They explained well and sent digital user manual. I am all satisfied. It was a good experience.
Michael’s Cycles had the bike I was looking for at an almost unbelievable price so I was very pleased. I’m not local so I had to purchase it with shipping. The shipping took a little longer than I would’ve liked and there wasn’t much communication. I actually had to reach out a couple times. The packaging wasn’t wonderful. The di2 left shifting lever battery arrived dead I think because the lever was being pressed in the box. There was quite a bit of weird tape residue on the fork paint from the way they packed. They probably are more of a local Bike Shop I would guess so they probably don’t have a lot of experience shipping. With all that said, the price was so good that I can overlook everything else, and still say this was a five star experience. Very happy with my bike and I really appreciate Michael’s Cycles for the awesome deal. Would definitely buy from them again and recommend them to my friends.
Had a great experience purchasing a bike from Michael's - I've never bought a bike "new" before so it was an existing moment. The gentleman that helped me (Hans) was very friendly and shared good information about the bikes that helped me make a choice.
I went in to purchase Maurten gels, the CAF100 and the original 100. It is difficult to find Maurten gels in southern WI without traveling to Madison, so I was please to find them at Michael's Cycles. I had the pleasure of working with Ryan. Ryan is incredibly knowledgeable, respectful, and thorough when making a sale. Not only is Ryan a wonderful employee and salesperson, he is a great individual outside of the bike shop as well. 10/10.
All the employees are attentive and willing to help as soon as you walk in the door. Always friendly with no pretense that occasionally happens at other cycle shops. The prices are straightforward and fair, and the mechanics will take the time to discuss the work that has taken place. They will also back up their work, if anything comes up regarding the repairs or upgrades.
