I am a senior currently paying $52 a month to strictly use a cycle room. I take Kathy’s class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She’s a great teacher very enthusiastic. Get a good workout and I take Kristen on Saturday morning. Those three workouts are very exciting. The only complaint I have is when they’re not there the subs aren’t always adequate.
I just exercise and use the pool in the summer. In the summer I also do water aerobics. Most of the staff in the weight area are friendly and helpful. I don't think putting them behind the info booth is very helpful--better to have them walking on the floor, greeting guests, interacting.
My normal week is to attend at least one class a day six days a week. I'm finding the class designs excellent, the students great fun to be around and the instructors excellent.
I focus on Pilates and Barre classes with HIIT once a week. In particular Pilates classes focus on different objectives which I think great.
I have added Kathy G core class on Thursday mornings prior to Eynat's Pilates class and find it an excellent combination. Core is a key to Pilates I believe but Eynat and Kathryn's approach amplifies core work. I've spoken to several staff members asking them to consider expanding Kathy's Core class prior to Pilates on other days. I think this would benefit overall benefits for Pilates. I hope this could be possible.
I don't participate in the activities but I LOVE all the equipment available at this Y.
Also it is a lot quieter than many Ys. This is important to me because I have hearing loss and want to keep my ears functioning. Some other Ys are so loud - I bought an audiometer to make sure I wasn't just being "touchy."

I am only doing water aerobic at this time but Angela Casey is awesome! So friendly, caring and active. I would like to see the pool being updated as it looks old, dirty and broken!
I like that there are a verity of activities throughout each location. i do wish there were more after working hours but the ones that they do offer are great. The gyms are always clean and well kept. My family loves coming to the YMCA
I'll be moving back to Midlo later this year and needed a place to workout while I'm in the area every 2-3 weeks or so. I do wish there were more evening yoga classes in Midlo but once I'm here fulltime, I'll be sure to check out other nearby facilites like Tuckahoe on Patterson. The instructors are welcoming and the two locations I have visited so far are fine but coming from ACAC in years past, it would so great to have access to a hot tub and steam room!
