It is super convenient to where I live and the instructor are awesome. I just wish they had a few more cardio classes, but so appreciate anything with weights. I hope we see the pool sooner than later.
Closer to home than Nir. Very good tues and thur class with Susan Anderson/Stay Fit! Just love the class and everyone in it. This class is helping me regain strength after a tkr!!
I'm just beginning, but so far, so good! When I joined one evening last year, the front desk person was warm and helpful, taking me through steps on my cell phone that would've baffled me without her help. No judgment, just guidance. :-) I have a bad history of joining gyms, but never showing up. However, I'm at a point in my life where I HAVE to get my health habits sorted out! On Monday of this week I signed up for LIVESTRONG; I believe being part of a supportive group will encourage me to commit. I met with Bridget, who made signing up easy. I start next Monday!
The Midtown Y has the best staff. Front Desk staff greet you with inviting smiles and warm wishes. Qualified and knowledgeable Instructors lead classes that are appropriate for different age groups. I attend Stay Fit Exercise classes for Seniors. Instructors explain the benefits of the various activities and encourage each participant to work at their own pace. There is no pressure to do more than one can do, yet each is encouraged to work to their full potential. Participants make friends and socialize with one another. As we exercise, we laugh, tell jokes, sing, and most importantly, we support one another. I love my classes.
