Honestly, the only reason I purchased an e-bike that day was because of George. After visiting three other shops, I was ready to give up. None of the other places made me feel confident about the purchase, and they did not seem interested in earning my business. If I was going to spend that kind of money on a bike, I needed to feel certain—and they did not come close.
Our last stop was at Mostly E-Bikes, and it completely changed everything. George was the kindest, most patient, and most informative person we met all day. I arrived with limited knowledge about e-bikes, based only on the research I had done, and I needed to ensure it was a safe and smart choice for my son.
George took the time—literally hours—to walk us through everything. He answered every question I had and even anticipated ones I did not think to ask. He never pushed a hard sell. In fact, he told me what we did not need, recommending that we start with the essentials and build from there.
He allowed my son to test ride the bike on an actual path, not just sit on it inside the store. He also encouraged us to go home, check our gear, take time to think about it, and come back when we had made a decision.
After discussing it at home, it truly felt like a no-brainer—so we turned right back around and returned to the shop. George had saved the exact bike my son had test ridden, just in case he decided he wanted it, instead of selling it to someone else who was ready to buy it immediately. My son ultimately chose a different color, but it was amazing that George was willing to risk losing a sale to give us time. Thankfully, the other customers were still there and bought the original bike. Still, that gesture spoke volumes about George’s integrity and how much he cares about his customers.
We realized we did not have the appropriate helmet or lock, so we purchased the ones George recommended. Even after spending hours with us already, he went on to spend several more fitting my son with a helmet he liked and making sure it was the correct size. He showed him how to properly use the heavy-duty lock and gave him a weekly maintenance routine—how to lube the chain, check tire pressure, and more.
The care he took with both of us was not only something I appreciated—it was something my son noticed and commented on, which, if you have a teenager, you know is rare and meaningful. We still talk fondly about George, and every time we visit the shop, my son feels seen and respected.
I ended up spending more than I originally planned, but I felt completely confident in the decision. There was no buyer’s remorse—only gratitude and excitement.
Since then, we have called and returned to the shop several times for different needs, such as fitting a new phone mount and replacing worn brake pads. Every time, George has been the same—warm, welcoming, and helpful. He treats my son with respect, speaks directly to him, and supports him in taking ownership of his bike. He even gave us the phone mount for free and continues to take time to educate us on maintenance and care.
I truly cannot say enough good things. We are already planning to purchase a second e-bike so I can ride with my son. When that time comes, I will absolutely be returning to George.

Hansel in Santa Monica shop is outstanding and provides super service. He allows me to text him and he always answers. He helped me thru the purchase process and explained everything I asked. He was almost so good that I thought it was too good to be true! I wish outstanding service like what he provided could be provided by more businesses! Great communication and I love my bike!
