We enjoy taking piano lessons at music matters because of the positive reinforcement teaching style, the care and personal instruction from the instructor, Karl, and most importantly, my son says, because of the prizes/treats from spinning the wheel after lessons.
My teacher Cole tailored his teaching "curriculum" to exactly what I was looking for as a singer-songwriter hoping to learn how to accompany myself. I very quickly acquired the tools I needed to pursue and perform my own music, and I learn something new every time I'm at Music Matters.
We are new to music matters and my daughter has only had 2 piano lessons with Charles, but everyone we have encountered at music matters has been extremely nice and helpful. My daughter loves her lessons with Charles and says he's very nice and funny. We will definitely be recommending music matters to our friends!
I'm a very new student; however, my first impression of Music Matters is quite positive. Ellyn was very polite and helpful when we chatted via email and on the phone. She also offered me a warm welcome when I met her in person before my first lesson. She assigned me to work with Vince. I only have met him once, but he was very pleasant and kind during our first meeting. He shared about himself and allowed me to share a bit about my goals. He seemed very patient and flexible. I am looking forward to learning from him!
It was a challenge to sign up b/c I work so evenings there needs to be someone in the office. I have a sitter take my child to the appt b/c i work so much, while I don't have a lot of specific feedback, I think Marina is a good role model for her, she talks about what they learn in class. So far she seems to really enjoy it.I appreciate it's in the enter of town (beautiful bldg) and that they have play area for the little ones too.
