The summer camp was fantastic, truly designed and operated by individuals with experience applying inclusivity into their programs. I am appreciative beyond words.
The summer LIT program at the Nature Center in Norwell is just out of this world. It was the best possible thing for my 12-year-old. It combined structure and intentional instruction (afternoon sessions on what-to-do-if, on how to plan age-appropriate activities, etc.) with opportunities for LIT kids to work directly with younger kids and exercise responsibility in a controlled setting. My child loved it and it enhanced his sense of his own self-worth beyond belief because it set him up to succeed. He will be back every year he is eligible!
My son came home each day with some sort of fun fact that he had learned and was always happy to tell us about his day. He was excited to go to camp each day and enjoyed being outside, exploring and being with friends. The counselors were all great and he enjoyed it all!
my kid was so excited at the end of each day. he's very active and being outside in a orchestrated way was awesome. Plus, the staff and counselors were amazing. we will definitely sign up again next year!
The activities are outside in nature, which is so good for children’s development. It has been scientifically proven human mind benefits and resets in nature. The activities help the children develop intellectually and physically.
The program has very organized drop off and pick up. The counselors are friendly and really care about each camper. The director is very caring and responsive to questions and concerns.
Camp staff was really great, welcoming and friendly to parents at drop off. Plus my campers only had great things to say each day after camp. Even recently (October 2022) I heard them singing something like "look to the east, look to the west, nature camp is the best!"
My son absolutely loved the Science Camp! He went to several different camps and this was his absolute favorite. We will be signing him up for more weeks next year!
