This has been a very good program for my granddaughter. She has enjoyed herself. She has been taking swimming lessons, and special camps of art, dance, drama and gymnastics. It was a well-organized program for the children. They focused on communication between the children instead of tablets.
Great facility, my favorite, however, I
would appreciate better care of the women's bathroom.
The showers were not cleaned the night before.
There was strings of hair on the floor in last shower to the left...
7/19/26, the some of the shower curtains weren't completely hooked.
Floors were not clean in the locker room & bathroom either.
Summer camp at north Brandon runs so surprisingly smoothly. I’m regularly frustrated by the parking situation during the year, but I haven’t run in to issues dropping off or picking up my campers this summer. My 12 year old is sad she’ll age out next year. The staff are all great, but I remain really impressed with coach Zack. I don’t think he sits down the entire summer. I bet if he wore a pedometer, he’d log 30 miles each day!
Zachary Karikas, the program director was amazing. It can be really scary to try new places with our autistic son. But we didn't want our fear to hold back his growth. Kim, Elizabeth and Jody are so attentive and experienced. Our son thrived here and he will be back.
My grandson enjoys going to summer camp there. Last week, he attended art camp. They had an art show on the last day. I was impressed by the subjects they covered. They taught perspective, shading, and medium choices.
I've been an active member of the YMCA for 3 plus years now and I love the community here I love the people I've come very close and almost like family
