It is like most LBS... good people who know bikes and stuff you need to ride bikes. It's hassle free and not rushed. Road biking is pretty expensive. But at least we still have specialized retail operations like this. Even for hockey or golf, you wind up going to a big box subsidiary of a giant corporation. Surely some of their staff is qualified to talk about their sports but here you can be sure that everyone understands the agony of a 100k all up hill and into the wind!

I was converting an older racer to a street bike with some new parts required. I had trouble replacing the new parts and the gentleman working on another bike at the time was kind enough to see I was in trouble and took my bike into service (on the spot) and put the parts on correctly. They won me over with that act of kindness and I'm now riding again with nothing but great things to say about the people at Northern Cycle. I'm Paul in Ajax

When I first ordered my bike, staff reached out to me to ensure a correct fit. When I picked up the bike all the accessories I bought were installed in just a few minutes (certainly faster than I would have done it!). And the sales person walked me through the specifics of the bike (gears and brakes were of a different design from those on my previous bike), and made sure everything was adjusted correctly for me. Good advice on accessories, terrific selection of gear and maintenance materials. Don't think I'll ever bother going anywhere else for this stuff.
