Northern Energy delivered LP timely this month, but they were supposed to call my driveway maintenance contractor to verify that the drive is passable. The driver failed to do so.
Our driveway is 1.25 miles of winding gravel, and gets drifted shut at times. In past years, NE has tried to deliver, but couldn't get up the drive. They failed to contact my contractor ahead of delivery in order to verify access, and then forgot to fill up the tanks the following months. As a result, I ran out of LP in the middle of winter in my vacant (seasonal) home. Luckily the pipes didn't freeze and break because I monitor the thermostats from my remote location on my computer. The boilers were difficult to restart, and my Northern Energy was eventually able to bring in someone from Billings to assist. In the meantime, I needed to find someone to meet that service man at the home at a certain time. That's a challenge when I live 2,700 miles from that address in the winter.
Hopefully this season will run more smoothly, and so far, so good.
