Instructors are skilled and helpful. Programs are offered various times and days. Classes address cardio, strength, balance, flexibility. Programs involve youth, adults of all ages.
I like that NW YMCA has a large cardio equipment selection, such that I never have to wait for the type of machine I want to use. The two strengthening / weight training areas have a variety of equipment for upper and lower body strengthening and core work with machines and free weights.. There are group classes for aerobics, cycling and also aquatic exercise. My husband enjoys playing pickleball in the gym. Something for everyone!
The water aerobics are a life saver. I have several debilitating illnesses and have been unable to get any real exercise until I found the Y and started the water aerobics class.
