we have not gone to the Y very many time since covid, but want to return to classes, etc.
we read the newsletters, etc, and enjoy seeing all the Y is doing for the community.
I am impressed by some of the classes I have taken like Lauri's yoga. I like the mat room to be able to do my own stretches, The sauna is such a gift!
The staff are exceptional over all. I am sorry there is so much turn over but I do see caring and friendly people.
I am not sure how to get help learning about the machines available and which to use for my goals.
The hours are great, wish weekends could be longer but this may be too much for staff.
I especially like the longer pool, I used to go to Kaimuki but it is shorter and smaller overall.
This may seem like a small like but having a swim suit wringer makes life so much better. Carrying a soggy suit home is messy!!! Being able to wring it out, especially when we may be going to work is a gift.
Thank you for reserving a lane for those of us with mobility issues.
If I had a water class to suggest it would be "Off the Deep End". i went to one held at the Manoa Pool and LOVED IT. The instructor was great and we go an amazing work out.
The Y offers community. I see how many have been members for years. Community has a huge benefit for ALL.
I do not have children but am very happy to see the youth learn to swim program. Not only will kids be safe but they have. safe and positive experience with others to learn and exercise
Thank you. Thia West
I enjoy the variety of classes, especially those designed for seniors. The instructors are very good. Lots of equipment available. I like that there are classes at various times from early morning to early evening.
Wonderful experience, lots of activities for my son, experienced trainers, fun and impactful classes, huge facility. And a sauna which makes for extra perks definitely worth the investment as well as their excellent childcare and preschool programs.
