I like the friendliness and helpfulness of the reception desk personnel. The facilities are nice and clean. There is a good variety of classes and activities.
Since I’m a “senior citizen “, I like that there are many seniors like myself doing their best to improve themselves. It’s a more comfortable environment than the gyms with young people who probably have no idea what we older folks need and our imitations.
Every single staff member I've encountered has been so friendly, kind, supportive and helpful! From the front desk people to the pool staff and lifeguards (I mostly utilize the pool for exercise), it's just a great experience to go to the Y in Olathe for some exercise! I have a drive of 30-ish miles to attend, and don't mind a bit except during bad weather. Also, when there is some type of situation such as lightening, lifeguard shortage, or issue with the pool the staff is GREAT about sending a text message to let everyone know when the pool will be open! I just think this adds yet another layer of thoughtfulness and looking out for Y users.
LOVE the Y in Olathe on Lone Elm Road!
