Love the workouts and the coaches and how much it has routinized my fitness journey. I’m lifting heavier and running more becoz of my once a week 3G class and twice a week Lift classes.
Love the actual workout--for me, much needed cardio.
Also love the OT community. The staff knows your name for instance and is so warm--it's very welcoming.
I like that it's a full 60min workout. Many workouts in DC only give you 35-45min, maybe 50min max, of the workout. KD and Lauren at 14th St. were especially welcoming
The whole team - trainers, management, and other staff - are friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. The workout is intense - but only as intense as you want it to be.
I like that the workouts are very well-balanced and include a combination of cardio and muscular work. I have been prone to injury in the past, especially from running, but I have been working out pretty intensely since I joined OTF and I have had no problems.
I can't put my finger on why I like OTF as much as I do, I generally hate all workouts, but I legitimately enjoy OTF. One of the big factors is I feel like the coaches are paying attention to my form and what's I'm doing, and I feel safe doing the exercises and comfortable asking for more help.
I loved my first class and knew by the end that I would be returning. The hard sell on signing up for monthly membership that followed was pretty off-putting since I already know I wanted a class pack given other fitness memberships I already have in process. I was originally told that the class packs expire in two months, and only got the true answer (they don’t expire) after asking several times. Corporate HQ really needs to reconsider the metrics it puts on local managers to hit membership targets because this hard sell detracts from what is otherwise a great experience.
