I am already a member at OTF in Summerville, SC so when I called to schedule workouts at this facility, the staff was extremely helpful. Also - once at the facility for my workout, again a great staff at the front desk and a great coach. I love that I can still work out at Orange Theory when I travel.
Likes: Daily diversity of workouts ... energy of the coaches ... daily reports from the workout ... the front desk staff is improved from 6 months ago.
Areas for improvement: It is ridiculous that within every monthly cycle there is a week where I cannot book sessions online for the upcoming week (I'm on the unlimited plan) ... the coaches are not as technically sound as I found the crew in Green Hills/Nashville to be. That crew taught me an entirely different approach to the OTF workout (by employing "anchor points" and being very strict in pointing out flaws in my form on nearly every exercise - which made the workouts much tougher and results much more impressive. The closest we have to this level of technical feedback is Hancock, but even he pales in comparison to the approach of Green Hills staff) ... the diversity of music is lacking across all coaches ... unlimited plan members should at least 4 - 6 "mulligans" every year regarding late cancellations. We all have honest conflicts arise and the current model is punitive when they happen ... machines need to be serviced more frequently, as there are always a surprising number of treadmills and rowers out of commission at any given time ... finally, it seems that the floors have been recently treated in a way that has made them very slick and diminished the ever-important slip coefficient. Something to look into, please.
Overall, I love OTF and am a huge advocate in the marketplace ... so please do not construe my comments above as overly negative ... I'm just attempting to improve the experience. :)
Efficient and constantly changing so I don't fall in a rut or get bored. The instructors are coaching you through the whole session so that you maximize impact while minimizing injury (I have many historical injuries to compensate)
