What I like about the OT workouts is the challenge I have to strengthen myself. When I started off almost a year ago, I could only use 5 lbs weights over my head due to shoulder surgeries. Now I'm between 10 and 15, depending on the movement. I love the Burnsville coaches' knowledge on fitness and they are always helpful in guiding me.
The coaches at OTF Burnsville are super fun and charismatic. Regardless of the time of day they're full of life and support. The equipment and facilities are top notch.
I do like the workouts. However, some of the coaches don't watch form like they should. I will say, Coach Matt in Burnsville does a great job with that. I also think Simon does too. Sometimes I feel like my form could be off and I am subjecting myself to injury. I've also seen other people in the weight floor with poor form and not being corrected. My son was one of them.
It was amazing because it was so motivational and kept me pushing my own boundaries and getting out of my headspace and taking away the thinking process of what I’m doing and why I’m doing it. Matt, the instructor really kept me going and motivated me to keep pushing myself to my limits and showed me that I’m not as weak as I thought I was.
The challenge of the classes being a little different every time. Love the coaches, the energy they bring to each class is awesome. And lastly the people you work out with are encouraging and supportive. You can be as engaged as you want to be and it’s OK!
