I love OTF!!! I like the variety of what we do in classes. We are always moving around so it makes the time go fast. I love the hr monitor so I know exactly how hard I am pushing myself in class. One of the best things is the motivating coaches. It is the closest you can get to a personal trainer in a group setting. Shout out to Garin and Kade at OTF Champaign!!
The coaches are motivating and not pushy. They understand that everyone goes at their own pace and they suggest alternate exercises if needed. I feel that I was able to start at a beginner level and progress from there with no judgement. I’ve now upgraded my plan and am going a minimum of three times per week. I love it and am seeing and feeling great results.
I have tried various different kinds of workouts over the years, but Orange Theory's varied and intense workouts seem to work best for my body type and temperament. I like the different routines they come up with and that there is very little repetition. In the past I struggled with consistently working out two or three days a week but the routine of signing up for a class and showing up at Orange Theory and working hard at it for an hour seems to have gotten me hooked. I find this to be the easiest routine to be consistent with, somehow. There is little work involved in keeping me motivated. I get cardio (which I love) and strength (which I need) without having to think about anything - I just need to show up at the studio. The HIITs seem to really work for me because I seem to be toning up without changing my diet at all.
The coaches are great! Sometimes the music choices aren't great, but most of them time they are ok. I also like that you can earn a free cancel, but I wish you just got one free cancel every so often. It helps with family life and having kids.
The workouts have been great, and challenging. I don't really care for the tornados or other workouts where you have to move around the room a lot more.
I really appreciated the staff letting me use one of their arm bands when the battery in mine died half way through the work out.
