I love the HIIT workout, especially how good the interval training on the treadmill has been for my running and how the weights are improving my strength.
Most of the trainers are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. They try to create a high energy atmosphere that encourages members to push themselves.
Minor improvements would be that it's often pretty hot in the workout room, so much so that I wish I could take my shirt off, and the music can sometimes be too quiet; think like background music when you're making breakfast in the morning, rather than loud high energy music that pumps you up for a workout.
I’ve worked in the fitness industry in a variety of positions for almost 20 years, and have never met a nicer group of fitness employees. From the moment I walked in to inquire about Orange Theory to my first class, which was free, I was treated with kindness, respect, understanding, and encouragement. The class was great, but the employees are the reason I will come back. The employees in this industry make or break a business. Not sure all Orange Theory locations are like the one in Chapel Hill @ Tymberline, but if they are, the leaders of this company are investing in the right thing: good people!
Personal differentiation for my fitness level. Trainer Kelly Doherty does a great job describing overall goals of workout, demonstrating activities, clearly alerting workout team as to when transitions will take place so that individuals can push themselves to their personal levels and most importantly empathy for individual goals.
The coaches’ knowledge is impressive. Their support, encouragement and enthusiasm make the work out enjoyable, despite being challenging. The workouts are flexible in format to allow you to tailor them to your abilities on any given day. And the friendly environment of staff and classmates is also very encouraging.
