I love the variety & intensity of the workouts...And, how the workouts positive impact the way I look and feel. I'm a runner, but the interval training, rowing, floor workouts and weight lifting are the perfect compliment to my long, endurance runs. The coaches are supportive and motivating (especially Dee Dee), and the class is more like a community, not a competition. It may sound silly, but the work out environment is also something I really enjoy- the loud music and low orange lighting make you feel like the hero in a video game (or in Kill Bill)- like a real badass.
I was very apprehensive about joining OT because I'm in my mid 50s and most of the members appear to be in their 30s and younger. However I've been made to feel welcome and and not made to feel self conscious about my age. I love the pumped up workouts that I can customize to my ability. I've been a long distance runner all of my adult like and this mix up of cardio and weights is just what I needed. And the trainers are awesome!
There are many things I like about Orangetheory but the one I would like to mention is that I can see my and the whole group performance while working out which makes me compete with my previous record and as well as with others and thus motivates me to do better. When I started working out at Orangetheory I could only do power walking on the treadmill but today I am in the runner zone and I am loving it 🏋️♀️
