As always, I love OTF. It is the only workout program I have stuck with. I have been with OTF for almost two years now and I finally have my mom working out at OTF! She is 63 years old and the coaches work with her to find her comfort level in the workouts. I am sure she will become stronger and more mobile the longer she sticks with it.
It is not easy! When you leave after an hour - you feel it!!! Also - GREAT Instructors
I think all the instructors are good, but...Cheno and Charles are exceptional! Chemo is just great at what he does in that class. Both are a real asset to Orangetheory.
I love the challenge I get for my current and potential fitness level. I feel like it definitely challenges me from where I am now and there is still more to grow. Orangetheory is a program that evolves as I do.
The workout itself is wonderful. My feedback is on the staff.
As a member I am tired of an inconsistency with the trainers on the schedule. For example, if I show up and Chris is on the schedule, he should be there. Secondly, no trainer is too good to clean or prep for the following days classes - train your trainers better.
The staff should be (very) loosely cross trained on everything. For example, if an SA is running late, the trainer should know how to start the class. I also don't understand why there is not always two SA's working at a time- how do you expect them give members a white glove experience when they need to help a new member sign up, etc.. while providing excellent customer service to existing members? We all pay a good amount of money to be there and should be treated as such.
What needs huge improvement is the communication between the staff. Most of the staff are awesome, but get treated poorly by management and/or other employees. Leaders who are currently 'leading' are terrible and need training on to communicate, share feedback, and how to be positively effective when leading. There is zero sense of team work and it's hugely noticeable. It sometimes feels like a giant competition, which is terrible. Shouldn't everyone work as a team and actually want to help each other and work as one?
OTF Hoover offers a great workout but needs some serious guidance in the management department.
I really enjoy the fact that you are working with a group, but are pushing yourself at your own pace. I also love that you can see where you are as far as your heart rate and points; it helps increase the challenge & is motivating. Plus, the instructors are always very upbeat, encouraging, and helpful! Everything works together for a great workout!
