I can honestly say that this has felt like the most positive work out environment. The varied routines keep you on your toes and make for an exciting work out every time. Orangetheory is invigorating, intensive & challenging for any fitness level. Not to mention the friendly and knowledgeable team of coaches! Everyone has been great. I've already been recommending to everyone.
I only attended one class and found benefit in the structure, cardio, and vital monitors. I'm currently a member of a CrossFit gym and not sure how orange theory approaches the anaerobic activities we perform. The class I attended last Saturday at orange theory had a few of the movements we do but not with weight excluding the sumo squat and I had to use the heaviest weight on the free standing dumb bell rack which wasn't heavy enough. I enjoyed the workout but would like to see more of the cross fit movements and weights incorporated.
I'm never going to push myself to work harder. Having the Trainer encourage coupled with the workout being broken into blocks really motivates me.
Ortega-specific: Kammi is absolutely amazing because she gives the modifications to pretty much everything. If I can't do an exercise, I lose momentum and steam. With the modificiations available, that doesn't happen.
