Orange Theory La Mesa is hands down the ultimate fitness experience! The coaches are incredible—motivational, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in each member’s progress. Every workout is a fresh, exciting challenge, combining a perfect blend of cardio, strength, and weight training that keeps you on your toes. The positives: Coaches are terrific, and I love that they make everyone - regardless of their fitness level - feel comfortable and part of the group. The studio is always clean and organized. Coaches' instruction and demos are terrific, and they are always available to offer guidance and assistance. Front desk folks always greet you with a smile and it feels good to walk in and get to work. Thank you!
Sometimes, there are participants who talk (just a couple of ladies) throughout the entire session. It's distracting and disrespectful to the Coach who is giving direction, encouragement, etc. I've changed my schedule to not be in class with these ladies, but I'm sure others share the sentiment.
I LOVE OTF! I couldn't live w/o it. The workouts are fabulous. Each one is a huge boost of energy. I always leave feeling better than when I came in. The workouts are so complete - strength, endurance, power all wrapped into less than 1 hour. It's as much fitness as you can pack into an hour. And, best of all, you are only competing against yourself. So you work as hard as you can on that day - no matter if you're an athlete or someone who just works out a few times per week. So worth it!
Orangetheory is the gym that got me back into my fitness routine. Like most gyms, workouts are whatever effort you put into them. Orangetheory however often keeps me feeling challenged and motivated to beat my personal bests from before. It is a great focus on cardio fitness, but also includes the weight portion which is nice to break up the cardio and focus on muscle gain.
It’s a fun and easy way to push yourself if you find it hard to find motivation on your own. The coaches are supportive and encouraging and provide helpful reminders to monitor your heart rate and proper technique to prevent injury. Plus, it’s upbeat and fun. I always leave feeling much better than when I arrived.
