I have been a member of my OTF since it opened over 3+ yrs ago in Phx. Also with my job, have gotten opportunities to visit over 2-3 dozen OTFs around the country. So I get to contrast and compare very easily. It starts with the front desk and Mark was excellent and very personable and introduced me to the trainer to let her know that I was a cross regional. She then told people in our class about a guest from another studio in Phoenix which may not seem like a lot but makes me at home.
The music was very good...not the same playlist I hear over and over at other studios. Workout was real good. The workouts are always good.
What separates the great gyms are the trainers and how personable they are and how well they know the clientele and recognize who they don't know. Its like a bar. Its always good to hear your name being complimented or noticed by a trainer. I noticed as newbie that the two trainers did not really know their clients....they may be new still learning but that is what keeps people coming back. That is why i am still giving my studio money after 3+ years.
I have two more visits this weekend and also come back next week so I am sure I will have better idea on how close the people and the trainers are at your studio.
